Calling
Have you ever done anything you knew you were made to do?
Have you ever felt that feeling that, when you did the thing you knew you were made to do, even your “faults” were helpful there?
Lots of things have challenged me in this life, but work (however arduous, shaping and challenging) has been a delight to me.
I’m not sure how, but I’ve heard God more in my vocational path than in any other area (also in housing). Consequently, I like talking about these areas more than anything. Safety/home and vocation/purpose/creativity. I love identity and how God is shaping us as we work and toil. We are becoming, even as we bring other things to life—together.
This is me telling you it’s possible. It’s possible to do something you love. It’s possible to figure out what you were made to do. And if you don’t care about that, then you were probably made not to care.
If you want to talk about this sometime with me, I’m your woman. I can’t promise you it will be easy, but I can promise you that you will become yourself in the doing of it all. You will find yourself. And when you find yourself, you will find your Creator.
