On Delight

What have you been doing lately to pursue delight?

“Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart”(Psalm 37:4).

I recently wrote a children’s book about delight—because the children haven’t forgotten it.

Our child-selves know it well. They haven’t forgotten. At times, when our hope is obscured or the way seems more narrow than we thought…consult your child within to find it again.

Play

Do what’s natural again

Position yourself in safety and places of love—within and around you. For with delight—safety and rest are the key. The people who love you not matter what your life “produces”—they will remind you that you’re worthy of the pursuit of delight.

You only need one friend for this. You can find more later.

They will remind you how to fill your eyes with light. So you can shine again.

I pray you can rest in that today.
